Charles Dibreal Lawson, 70, a resident of Cleveland, passed away, Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, in a Chattanooga health care facility.
He was born February 20, 1942, a son of the late Theodore Carl Lawson and Mattie Belle Lawson.
He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was also an avid sports enthusiast and coached little league baseball.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two brothers: T.L. and Bob Lawson; sister, Rachel McKinney.
Survivors include two sons: Patrick (Cori) and Chris Lawson; and sister, Jackie Green, all of Cleveland; and two grandchildren: Linsy and Jace Lawson; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
The family will receive friends Friday, Oct., 26, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Standfield Baptist Church, 1549 No Pone Road NW, Georgetown, TN 37336.
The funeral will immediately follow visitation at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Geren officiating.
The family and friends will assemble at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hayes Shed Cemetery for a committal service with the Rev. Eric Geren officiating.
