Charlotte Alma Cordell Marshall, 73, a resident of Riverdale, Ga., passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012, at a Georgia health care facility.

She was born in Decatur Oct. 5, 1938, to the late Smith Cecil and Geneva Falls Cordell.

Her life was spent devoted to her children and spending time with her sons. She also loved to sing.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Timothy Joe Marshall.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Billy Marshall; two sons: Richard Dewayne Marshall and Jeffrey Todd Marshall all of Riverdale, Ga.; brothers: Paul Wesley Cordell and his wife, Sara, James Donald Cordell and his wife, Virginia; sisters: Mary Sue Thomas and her husband, James, Sharon Williams and her husband, Ronnie, all of Chattanooga; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held in the parlor of Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 2415 Georgetown Road N.W., Cleveland at 4 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, with the Rev. James Staton officiating.

Interment will follow at the Neely Cemetery in Birchwood.

Pallbearers include Ray Cordell, Larry Cordell, N.C. Cartwright, Lamar Harden, Jamie Hickman and Sam Tuckett.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
