Cleveland leaders have an opportunity to participate in a one-of-a-kind event on Friday, May 10, with more than 125,000 leaders from around the world.

Broadcast live from Atlanta’s Georgia Dome and simulcast into communities across the globe, the Chick-fil-A Leadercast will challenge, inspire and encourage local leaders as they improve their leadership skills and network with other leaders from across Cleveland and Bradley County.

The Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce and People for Care and Learning are partnering to bring this one-day leader development event to Cleveland because it complements their commitment to leadership development efforts.

“This year’s theme is ‘Simply Lead’ and is a concentrated effort to not just inspire and motivate leaders but to increase influence in all facets of their life,” Nancy Neal, the chamber’s vice president for communications, said. “The event will give corporations, churches, educators and other leaders an opportunity to come together for cutting-edge leadership development in one day.”

Lead sponsors for the local simulcast are Pathway Press, Charter Communications, Church of God Theological Seminary and Diaper Love/Brenda Lawson & Associates.

“These lead sponsors represent a cross section of our business community,” Neal said. “Their support reflects a commitment to leadership development and empowerment in their respective work environments but also helps make it possible for the more than 300 executives, entrepreneurs, educators and church leaders in our area who have made plans to attend the event.”

World-renowned leaders will share their knowledge and experience to help other leaders learn how to “Simply Lead” by cutting through the clutter in our complex world.

“The lineup of national and international speakers is the best — the top tier of people from diverse areas of expertise,” Fred Garmon, director of PCL, said. “These people will be talking about leadership development, motivation, inspiration, teamwork, team development, conflict management—all the things that come to bear in our work environments.”

Speakers include Jack Welch, former chairman and CEO of General Electric; Mike Krzyzewski, head men’s basketball coach, Duke University and Team USA; Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State, 2005-09; Andy Stanley, best-selling leadership author and communicator; Sanya Richards-Ross, 2012 London Olympic gold medalist, track & field; Dr. Henry Cloud, best-selling author and leadership consultant; LCDR Rorke Denver, Navy SEAL and star of 2012 movie Act of Valor; John C. Maxwell, best-selling author and leadership expert; and David Allen, best-selling author of Getting Things Done and a productivity expert.

The simulcast will take place at First Baptist Church. Breakfast and lunch from Chick-fil-A are included in the price.
