Choral Arts of Chattanooga to perform at Broad Street UMC

Choral Arts of Chattanooga will present selections from “Messiah,” Handel’s beloved oratorio based on scriptural texts narrating the nativity, passion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, on Nov. 27 at Broad Street United Methodist Church.

The musical presentation will begin at 7:30 in the sanctuary of Broad Street United Methodist Church in downtown Cleveland. Admission is $15 at the door. Students with valid student ID pay only $5 and there is no charge for children 12 and under.

Favorite choruses and arias from the entire work will be performed by the chamber chorus, soloists and organ.

The concert will be conducted by Keith Reas, artistic director for Choral Arts of Chattanooga and accompanied by organist David Friberg.

Those from Cleveland participating in this performance are: Andria Thomas, mezzo-soprano soloist, Cynthia Johnson, soprano soloist and David Ketchersid.
