She possessed a hope in Christ at a very young age.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan “Rambo” Smith; brother, Julius Smith; uncles: Daniel and David Goldston; and grandparents: Genette and Lincoln Goldston.
She was a very loving and pleasant person, she was fun to be around, she always had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed many activities. Her heartfelt and unwavering love was always for her children, who will forever cherish her memories.
She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Maydal Smith; father, Julius (JI) Smith of Cleveland; her devoted lifelong companion, Ruben Easton; three daughters: Miesha Easton, Venira Easton, Aaliyah Easton, all of Chattanooga; three brothers: Eugene (Shellry) Smith, Terrance Smith, Timothy Smith, all of Cleveland; one sister, Renda Williams of Athens; five uncles: Benny Goldstone of Cleveland, Claude (Jewel) Goldston, Willis (Janet) Goldston of Dacata, Marshall Goldstone, Angelo Goldston; and six aunts: Mae Frances (Joe) Bradford of Cleveland, Diane (Roosevelt) Ellis, of Texas, Annette (Tim) Lowe, Sandra Goldston, Louise Williams, Lessie Bell (Antonio) Burnett, all of Cleveland; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss her very much.
The body may be viewed Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home, 265 Fair Street S.E.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon service time at Pleasant Grove Baptist, East Inman Street.
Interment to follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
