CLAUDIA BOWLING, a fifth-grader at Hopewell Elementary, had her hair trimmed, but never had she had it cut. Recently she had it cut and donated the 12 inches of hair to Locks of Love. The daughter of Tina and Mark Bowling, Claudia had talked to people who had donated hair. She knew someone who could not grow hair due to alopecia areata. Locks of Love awarded Claudia a certificate for her “selfless dedication and support of our mission to help children suffering from long-term or permanent medical hair loss.”
