The high school of Cleveland Christian School took its annual Washington, D.C., trip April 22 through 26. The Capitol Building, the National Archives, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, Smithsonian Museums, and the national mall and memorials were among the sites visited. Then the group took a train to Philadelphia and visited Independence Hall. While in Washington, the students visited with Senators Corker and Alexander at their "Tennessee Tuesday" meeting on April 23. The group met in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Room. The group also meet with Congressman Scott DesJarlais, M.D., at his office in the Cannon House Office Building. Cleveland Christian members were Matthew Farmer, teacher Robin Vaught, and parents The Rev. Richard Snyder, John Thompson and Crystal Thompson. Students were Matthew Chambless, Benjamin Clark, Nicholas Clark, Shayna Cole, Kelsey Farris, Briar Lowe and Shiloh McCulley.
