During his years at Samford, Bryson was a leadership scholarship recipient and was involved in student government. He was a member and IFC representative of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He also holds a membership in the American Pharmacists Association and Kappa Psi pharmaceutical fraternity where he was pledge trainer. His most memorable pharmacy experience was an internship at the Blackfeet Community Hospital on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Browning, Mont. He was awarded the prestigious Don R. Martinez Research Award during graduation for his bench-top metabolic research on new novel compounds that are in development for treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. He returned to Cleveland where he has accepted a position at Cooke’s Pharmacy. Bryson is also a graduate of Walker Valley High School.
Clevelander graduates from Samford
William Andrew Bryson, son of Yvonne and Ted Bryson of Cleveland, received a doctor of pharmacy degree from the McWhorter School of pharmacy at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., during spring commencement.
