The April meeting of Magnolia Garden Club was hosted by Bess Neil at Blythewood Farms. Sue Taylor provided refreshments for the meeting.

Linda Cross gave the devotion, “How to Plant our Garden.”

Lesley Bowen, Brenda Nakdimen, Sheila Webb and Joda Clark were welcomed as visitors.

Elsie Yates, secretary, gave the minutes of the March meeting. Sue Taylor, treasurer, gave the financial report. Fredricka Lawson, president, conducted the business meeting. The Cherokee Princess Dogwood tree has been purchased and will be planted at the Ernest and Geneva Adams’ residence after the meeting.

Appreciation was expressed for their work in preparation for the planting to Sue and Franklin Taylor.

A workshop for designs for the upcoming District III Flower Show will be held May 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cleveland State Community College. Members who will do the six designs will attend.

Fredricka Lawson presented the program, “What, Where and How to Plant Wildflowers.” The slide show of wildflowers in her own yard was very interesting. She also displayed many specimens of wildflowers grown in her yard.

Other members attending were Patsy Bettis, Sayle Bowen, Erma Brewer, Linda Cross, Annette Stanbery and Judy Jordan.
