Connie Jeanette Bales, 58, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at her home on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013.

She was born in Detroit, Mich., on Dec. 28, 1954, a daughter of the late Roger and Loretta Sprague.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, George Sprague.

She has made Cleveland her home for the past 20 years moving here from Chattanooga, where she lived most of her early adult life. She was of the Christian faith.

She was an avid reader, loved music and singing. She also had a wonderful sense of humor, which she shared with everyone especially her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved and thought the world of.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters: Amanda Nale and Tracy McKee, both of Cleveland, and Kelly Woodward, of Gwinnett County, Ga.; one son, George Bales of Chattanooga; one sister, Charlene Sprague; three brothers: David Sprague, Roger Sprague and Billy Sprague; 10 grandchildren; and numerous other extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends in the parlor of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service, located at 2415 Georgetown Road N.W., in Cleveland on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
