Four of Cooke’s “Super Saver Cost Plus” supermarkets are now “Fresh n’ Low Cost Plus” supermarkets.

The four stores are located at 3870 Candies Creek Lane in Market Centre Plaza and 2010 Broomfield Road, both of Cleveland; 116 Whitewater Drive in Ocoee and 101 State Highway 58 South in Georgetown.

Only one of the stores is an actual new location; the Broomfield Road location replaces the former Super Saver Cost Plus supermarket at 2221 Spring Place Road and is located just down the street.

According to President and CEO Dan Cooke, the Broomfield location, originally a Cooke’s Food Store, is 5,000 square feet larger than the Spring Place store and will allow room for a Cooke’s Pharmacy with a convenient drive-through lane. Donny Ahlberg, Pharm.D, will serve as pharmacist.

The new “Fresh n’ Low Cost Plus” supermarkets name and accompanying signage give the stores a fresh, new look. The stores will continue to offer the same friendly service, low prices, top quality fresh meats and fresh produce, and wide variety of brands that they do now. They will continue to be locally owned and operated by the Cooke family.

Cooke’s Food Stores celebrated 75 years in business in 2011, and the stores have been a familiar sight in Cleveland since opening on the Courthouse Square in 1936. Always focused on community involvement, Cooke’s now has two generations of family serving the local community in the retail grocery business.

Customers can expect to see the fresh new look beginning Oct. 31.
