All-State East Honor Band
Ivy Falls, center, 10th-grade clarinet player, and Tyler Queen, 12th-grade tuba player, were chosen. Tyler’s third chair placement allowed him to be chosen to participate in the All-State Honor Band, in April. “I am so proud of both Ivy and Tyler,” said Cara McKinney, left, the CBHS band director. “They worked very hard to prepare for their auditions. They represented Copper Basin wonderfully at their performance. This can lead to wonderful college opportunities and scholarships.

COPPER BASIN High School Band members auditioned and were chosen for the All-State East Honor Band clinic in Gatlinburg. The event chose the best students in the eastern half of the state to participate.
