FOUR WERE INJURED in a two-car crash on Peerless Road Wednesday evening.
A grinding crash sent four people to area hospitals Wednesday evening.

The two-car crash remains under investigation, according to officials with Cleveland Police Department.

Officer Evie West said an Isuzu Trooper containing a driver and passenger was rear-ended by a Nissan Maxima while both vehicles were southbound on Peerless Road. The crash occurred just after 9 p.m.

According to information West collected from traffic investigators at the scene, the driver of the Maxima was suspected of traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. When the vehicles made contact, the Isuzu reportedly rolled over and landed in the intersection of 25th Street.

The Maxima went off the roadway and landed in a ditch on Peerless Road.

The driver and passenger of the Maxima were both injured, and according to West the passenger was flown via LifeForce to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

Cleveland Fire Department responders performed extrication procedures on both vehicles involved.

According to West, the driver of the Maxima was taken to Erlanger Medical Center by Bradley County Emergency Medical Service paramedics for treatment of serious injuries.

The occupants of the Isuzu were transported to SkyRidge Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
