The engagement of Kayla Crisp and Brett Hooker, both of Cleveland, is announced by the parents of the bride-elect, Tim and Kim Crisp of Cleveland. The future bridegroom is the son of Scotty and Kim Hooker, also of Cleveland.

The couple will wed in a 2 p.m. ceremony on July 23 at New Salem Baptist Church.

Miss Crisp is the granddaughter of Bill and Marie Robinson of Cleveland and Carlos and Judy Crisp of Georgetown.

She is a 2010 graduate of Walker Valley High School and attends Cleveland State Community College.

Mr. Hooker is the grandson of Lester and Barbara Hooker and Samuel and Joyce Tinsley, all of Cleveland. He is the brother of Koby Hooker of Cleveland.

He is a 2010 graduate of Bradley Central High School and is employed by ADM Milling Co.
