She was a member of Tasso Christian Church. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edward Burns; parents, Roy Addison Garner and Mary Hall Garner; brother, Roy A. Garner Jr.; and sisters: Frances Leonard and Judy Belcher.
Survivors include two sons: Joe Marcus Burns and wife, Wanda, of Ocoee, and Todd Burns and wife, Gale, of Cleveland; daughter, Sherree Withington of Cleveland; brother, Eugene Garner of Cleveland; sisters, Helen Simpson and Jeanette Allen, both of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Wade Burns, Jeremy Burns, Rodney Cooper, Heather Ellis and Heather Bowman; and seven great-grandchildren: Tyler Wallace, Tanner Wallace, Katelynn Wallace, Trevor Wallace, Cali Ellis, Skyler Burns and Bailey Erb.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Cheatham officiating.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Wade Burns, Jeremy Burns, Will Ellis, Crawford Burns, Chris Belcher, and Stacy Bowman serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home prior to the service.
