Curtis Junior Goodner “June-Bug,” 67, a lifelong resident of Cleveland passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Aug. 2, 1944, as son of the late Curtis Sr. and Edith Goodner.

In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by two brothers: Tommy Goodner and Jimmy Bo Goodne: and grandparents: Walter and Mary Jenkins Goodner and Lawrence and Barshie Cavet Bishop.

He is survived by three daughters: Janet Adams (Ricky), Angie Goodner, and Rose Mary Kile (David); three sisters: Wilma Martin Kaylor (Clyde), Ruby DeFriese, and Mary Hope (James), all of Cleveland; four brothers: Henry Franklin and Ronnie Goodner, both of Cleveland, Johnny Goodner of Athens, and Benny Goodner of Texas; grandchildren: Brian Goodner and Fallen Sneed, Dakota Hancock, Paige Adams, Kristy Lord, Ricky Lord and Courtney and Austin Kile- great grandchildren: Trevor Johnathan Goodner, Trinity Goodner, Summer Lord, and Ryan Lord;his companion for over 30 years, Barbra May; and numerous other extended family members.

A graveside service will be held today, May 6, 2012, at 4 p.m. at McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood, with Ricky Lord, Joey Thomas, Ricky Adams, Brian Goodner, Dakota Hancock, and Frankie Goodner serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on today, 1 to 3 p.m., in the parlor of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service, at which time they will proceed to the cemetery for the graveside service.
