The builder of this featured home of the week said it’s the little touches as well as the benefits of forward thinking that the new owners of this house will enjoy in the future.
Chad and Sarah Dean of Dean Custom Homes LLC made sure the “green will be coming back to the new owner because of the green he used in its finishing.”
The new owners will be moving in this Frank Betz-designed house this week.
Located at 150 Sagefield Drive, this multilevel dwelling is situated on a nice lot — beautifully landscaped, including sidewalks and a concrete drive.
Added touches are custom gable and cornice decorations. The stone and brick exterior is complemented with architectural HardiePlank as accents.
Once through the front door, the new owners will begin to experience the “eye-appeal” amenities added to the house.
Custom paint colors were used throughout the abode. A wainscotted formal dining area is situated near the modern kitchen.
Custom-wood floors were also placed in the dining, kitchen and living room areas of the home.
The main living area features an open-air feel with cathedral ceiling and gas-log fireplace as well as beautiful custom moldings, which have been expertly finished and painted.
Modern stainless steel appliances were furnished in this kitchen.
Plenty of granite counter space was provided along with alderwood cabinets, complementing the wood floors.
At the rear of the new home, a spacious, relaxing screened porch and large open-air deck awaits family members. This is situated near the kitchen and breakfast nook.
The master bedroom features an extra-depth double-trey ceiling. Accent lighting was used throughout the home.
The home has three bedrooms and three full baths.
Just off the spacious master suite, a large bath featuring a jetted tub, glass and custom stone shower, private water closet and large walk-in closet for clothing is furnished. Granite counters were also utilized in this bath as well as the smaller shared bath for the two other bedrooms. Tile was used in all bath areas and a utility room.
A finished bonus area upstairs has plenty of potential if the new owner feels the need to “project for the future,” or it can just be used for storage space.
Dean said what the new owners won’t see are the additions which will save money in the future.
“We have to build green homes for our clients now. The future savings will return money to their pockets by using these proven ideas such as wrapping the homes, durable HardiePlank, stone, cellulose insulation, controlled air-space, energy-efficient windows and appliances,” Dean said.
Pre-formed and insulated poured walls were used.
The home also features a two-car garage on the main level, complete with electronic openers. A large garage is also included on the basement level.
Also located in the basement is a safe room.
Recent tornadoes have brought a new awareness for the need of these type structures which adds another element of family safety.
Alarm systems have also been placed in the home. Cable, ceiling fans and a central heat and air unit are also included amenities.
The Deans have several more new homes in the planning stages.
