The builder of this featured home of the week continues to stay busy with his craft, and said a number of his custom homes are sold before he can complete them. This gives the new owners an advantage when it come to finishing styles.
Chad and Sarah Dean of Dean Custom Homes LLC made sure the “green will be coming back to the new owner” because of the money-saving amenities used in its finishing.
This house is located on lot No. 8 in Abby Glen.
The two-story dwelling is situated on a nice lot — beautifully landscaped, including sidewalks and a concrete drive. Added touches are custom gable and cornice decorations. The brick-and-stone exterior is complemented with architectural HardiePlank and vinyl accents.
Once through the front door, the new owners will begin to experience the “eye-appeal” amenities added to the house. Custom-paint colors were used throughout the 2,380 square-foot Craftsman-styled home.
It is a Frank Betz Associates design, which is the Dean’s favorite floor plan.
A wainscotted formal dining area is situated near the modern kitchen. Custom-wood floors were also placed in the dining, kitchen and living room areas of the home. The main living area features an open-air feel with cathedral ceiling and gas-log fireplace, as well as beautiful custom moldings which have been expertly finished and painted.
Modern stainless steel appliances were furnished in this kitchen. Plenty of granite counter space was provided along with custom cabinets, complementing the wood floors.
At the rear of the new home, a spacious, a relaxing and large open-air deck awaits family members. This is situated near the kitchen and breakfast nook.
The master bedroom features an extra-depth double-trey ceiling. Accent lighting was used throughout the home.
The home has three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Just off the spacious master suite, a large bath featuring a jetted tub, glass and custom stone shower, water closet and large walk-in closet for clothing is furnished.
Granite counter spaces were utilized in this bath as well as the smaller shared bath for the two other bedrooms. Tile was used in all bath areas and a utility room. A finished bonus area upstairs has plenty of potential if the new owner feels the need to “project for the future,” or it can just be used for storage space, or maybe even used for another sleeping area.
A spacious laundry area has also been provided with cabinet space.
Dean said what the new owners won’t see are the additions which will save money in the future. “We build green homes for our clients now. The future savings will return money to their pockets by using these proven ideas such as wrapping the homes, durable materials, stone, cellulose insulation, controlled air-space, energy-efficient windows and appliances,” he said.
The home also features a two-car garage on the main level, complete with electronic openers. Alarm systems have also been placed in the home. Cable, ceiling fans and a central heat and air unit are also included amenities. The Deans have several more new homes in the planning stages. Melody Smith of Keller Williams Realty was the agent for this new home offered by Dean Custom Homes LLC.
This home is already sold, but a new one is in progress just across the street in Abby Glen.
An open house is scheduled for Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
Abby Glen is located off North Ocoee Street, by turning onto Hiwassee Avenue to Elm Drive. It is located in the Neeley Park addition, which is exclusively designed with Craftsman home styling.
