He was born on Feb. 22, 1950, to the late Spence and Ruby Stevison.
He was a lifelong resident of Cleveland. He had a love for gardening and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He also loved the Atlanta Braves and watching them play.
He was a member at Tasso United Methodist and will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 19 years, Martha Ann Stevison; two sons: Brian Stevison and James Stevison and spouse, Stephanie; four stepchildren: Dan Locke and Anthony Locke, both of Benton, Julie Fairfield and spouse, Rodney, and Lorressa Ensley and spouse, Stacy; brother, Gary Stevison and spouse, Carolyn; sister, Diane Brown and spouse, Edward; nine grandchildren: Savannah Stevison, Lana Jones, Thomas Fairfield, Logan Ensley, McKenna Ensley, Calvary Ensley, Shae Locke, Jordan Locke, Jack Locke; two great-grandchildren: Kyson and Kynlee Jones; and several other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Tasso United Methodist Church, 1106 Tasso Lane, Cleveland.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the church with the Rev. Mark Cameron officiating.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Larry Mull, Tim Bacon, Dale Wilson, Charles Harris, Todd Stevison, Eric Brown will be serving as pallbearers. Logan Ensley, Thomas Fairfield, and Tony Ledford will serve as honorary pallbearers.
