Nashville recording artist Darlene Chapman will headline the Cowboy Gospel Jubilee, Friday at 7 p.m at the Cleveland Cowboy Church.

“Darlene is an incredibly talented singer making her second appearance on the Jubilee,” said Will Nichols, producer of the weekly music event. “Her great voice and stage presence have garnered her appearances on PTL, Gospel Country and on the Main Stage at The National Quartet Convention.”

Chapman was born and raised in Chattanooga and began singing at age 3 during her minister father’s revival meetings.

As a young woman she joined Southland Quartet and later sang with groups such as Exalted, The Hendersons, Gold Harbor and Young Harmony.

“Darlene is also a women’s conference organizer and speaker,” said Nichols. “Her powerful testimony touches lives as she shares her personal story of heartache and triumph.”

Also appearing is award-winning singer-songwriter Elmer Bramlett, Southern Gospel singer Amy McAlister, and the Cowboy Church Band and Chorale. Ron Upchurch will be the host and announcer.

“There is no admission to the Jubilee and everyone is welcome. It’s a casual, come-as-you-are event,” continued Nichols. “And each week we give away some terrific door prizes. We are located between Blackburn Road and Blue Springs Road in the Dockery Heights subdivision.”
