He was the son of the late Louis and Evelyn Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Joyce Roberts of Cleveland; daughter, Gretchen Roberts Smith and husband, Chad Smith of Covington, Ga.; and grandchildren: Braydon Zachariah Smith and Calen Gabriel Smith, also of Covington.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Macedonia United Methodist Church in Knoxville.
