Demetrius Michael Stavrianos, 68, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 8, 1943, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, a son of the late George and Angela Stravrianos.

He moved to the United States from Germany approximately 32 years ago. He was of the Greek Orthodox faith.

He worked for Cedar Creek Trucking in Dalton, Ga., and locally at the Gondolier Restaurant for several years. He will be most remembered for being a loving and caring husband and a friend to all those he came in contact with.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ozella; three sons still in Germany: George, Billy, and Henry; six grandchildren; and several other extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at Stuart Park Baptist Church, 850 17th St. N.W., Cleveland TN 37311 with the Revs. Marvin Howard and Daniel Malone officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 4 p.m. until the 6:30 p.m. service time.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in his memory.
