Christopher McGee told the deputy someone entered his home, opened the refrigerator door and overturned a basket full of clothing.
There was no sign of missing items. The back door of the residence had been entered, according to the report after investigation begun.
Detective Carl Maskew was notified of the incident and was reportedly working a similar case involving the same victim.
No damage or loss was listed.
Possible suspects were provided for the investigators.
- Four Exide truck batteries were reportedly taken from a business located on Old Powerline Road.
The thefts occurred last week, according to a report filed by deputy Andrew Coggin.
Hugh J. Parker reported to Coggin the truck the batteries had been connected to was sold and when the new owners came to get the vehicle, the batteries were missing.
There were no signs of forced entry to the gated and fenced lot where the vehicle was stored.
Evidence was collected at the scene and investigation is ongoing, according to the report.
The batteries were valued at $400.
- Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Drivers License Roadside Safety Checkpoints in Bradley County beginning this weekend.
The checkpoints will be set up in random location in the county.
According to THP officials, checkpoints are an effective means of recognizing the dangers presented to the driving public, by motorists who would violate the drivers license laws of the state.
All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office will also be holding Field Sobriety Checkpoints at various locations in the county beginning Friday and lasting through the weekend, according to Capt. W.G. Campbell.
