Dorothy Beere Lashlee, 90, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the family residence.
She was a member of Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Theodore Lashlee; parents, Thomas Henry Beere and Anna Mae Smail Beere; six brothers: Herbert Beere, Fronse Beere, Elmer Beere, Jimmy Beere, Charles Beere and Walter Beere; and one sister, Lillian Barncord.
She is survived by her daughters: Virginia Howard and husband, Jerry, of Old Fort, and Barbara Lashlee of Cleveland; son, Ted Lashlee and wife, Carolyn, of Salt Lake City, Utah; eight grandchildren: Roger Howard and wife, Suzanne, of Old Fort, Vanessa Wood and husband, Michael, of Clinton, Annette Thompson of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lorri Mosley and husband, James, of Cleveland, Nancy Woodard of Cleveland, Darrin Lashlee and wife, Kimberly, of Caldwell, Idaho, Nathan Lashlee and wife, Laurie, of Wasilla, Alaska, and John Lashlee and wife, Emily, of Salt Lake City; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Gertrude Parks; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at noon Monday, April 28, 2014, at Peerless Church of God of Prophecy Church with Pastor Brian Sutton officiating.
Interment will follow at 2 p.m. Monday in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to noon Monday at the church prior to the service.
