Dorothy Pearl Dwyer, 57, a resident of Apison, passed away Monday morning, July 21, 2014, at her home.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 14, 1957, a daughter of the late, Cecil and Eva Emmert.
She was a resident of Cleveland, Tenn. for 33 years, where she raised her children.
She attended First Lutheran Church in Cleveland. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren cherishing the special times enjoyed outdoors appreciating God’s wonderful creations. She was known for her compassion, liveliness and love for children.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Clark and Alice Houp; and one brother, Cecil Emmert.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters: Corrin Fulton and husband, Scott, and Dawn Emmert-Tate; two sons: Joseph Dwyer and wife, Kimberly, and Nicholas Dwyer; grandchildren: Cameron Dwyer, Madison Tate, Alexzander Dwyer, Jacquelyn Dwyer, Liam Fulton, Savannah Dwyer and Samuel Fulton who is due to enter this world shortly; one brother, James Emmert (Alice); one sister, Brenda Dwyer; and several other extended family members and a host of special friends.
A graveside celebration of her life is planned for Friday, July 25, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the Lee Cemetery in McDonald.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 7 in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road NW..
