Double first cousins, David Earnest of Charleston, left, and Sherry Earnest McNabb (Larry McNabb, husband) of Somerset, Ky., right, both celebrated their 60th birthdays on Aug. 25 at the home of David and his wife, Pam, with more than 70 family members and friends. Their mothers, Veneda Jenkins and Robbie Jenkins, married brothers Harold Earnest and Marvin Earnest. The cousins were born the same day at Bradley Memorial Hospital and stayed in the same room until they were discharged after five days in the hospital to go home. They were taken home in the same ambulance at the same time. This was the first time this had happened at BMH and news of the event was published in the Cleveland Daily Banner 60 years ago. It was noted that with the amazing advancements in the medical field over the past 60 years, new moms can now be discharged the next day, walk out of the hospital and go home.
