Elaine D. Henry, 76, a resident of Ooltewah, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, at her home surrounded by a loving family following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was a devout Christian and faithful member of Ooltewah Baptist Church where she served in the choir, Awana, and was serving as chairperson of the R3 finance campaign for renovation.

She was the owner of Always on Line Answering Service. She enjoyed serving others and touched the lives of all with whom she came in contact. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chandler and Mildred Lott Drake.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Henry of Ooltewah; three daughters: Leisa Leffew of Chattanooga, Deidra Baird and Denise Hearn, both of Ooltewah; three granddaughters: and one sister, Della Johnson of Stone Mountain, Ga.

The funeral will be held at Ooltewah Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, with the Rev. Chris Gaither and the Rev. Larry Williams officiating.

Interment will follow in Old McDonald Cemetery on Snow Hill Road concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Roy Leffew, Tommy Baird, Gavin Cox, Christian Parker, Hartly Sylar and Raymond Monger will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 this evening at Ooltewah Baptist Church.

The family requests that memorial contributions can be made to the R3 Finance Campaign at Ooltewah Baptist Church, 5514 Main Street, Ooltewah TN 37363, or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga TN 37416.
