Eloisa Ayala, 95, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 8, 2012, in a Chattanooga hospital.
She was born Nov. 23, 1916, in San Jose Dela Paz, Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of the late Matias Montes and Mercedes Alvarez Montes. She was also preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Francisco Ayala; and her sister, Maria Refujia Nunez.
She is survived by her sons: Peter Ayala of Atlanta, Juan Ayala and his wife, Maria Consuelo Ayala, of Virginia, Rigoberto Ayala and his wife, Berta Alicia, of Cleveland, Jesus Ayala and his wife, Martha, of Los Angeles.; daughter, Elisa Torres and her husband, Ramon, of Cleveland; brother, Raymundo Montes of Mexico; and several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
The Mass of the Resurrection will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at St. Therese Catholic Church with Father Tom Moser officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date in Mexico.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 this evening at the North Ocoee Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
The rosary will be held at 6 p.m.
