Eula Loveday Knox, 96, of the Goodsprings community near Etowah, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Signature Health Care in Cleveland.

She was a daughter of the late Gib and Annie Watson Loveday.

She was a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church since 1932.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leonard Knox; her parents; her son, Hoyt Lee Knox Sr.; two grandsons: Warren Lee Knox and Hoyt Lee Knox Jr.; and four brothers and sisters-in-law: Hubert and Eula Loveday, Hobert and Josie Loveday, Dent and Eula Loveday and Arlin and Grace Loveday.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jane Bryan Knox of Etowah; two grandsons and spouses: William Keith and Tonya Knox, both of Cleveland, and Richard Kent and Stephanie Knox, both of Etowah; four great-grandchildren: Brittany and Sarah Knox, both of Cleveland, and Lily Ann and Cayden Knox, both of Etowah; nieces and nephews: Troy and Betty Loveday, Quay and Linda Loveday and Melva Buckner, all of Etowah, and Curtis Loveday of Benton.

The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. today, Oct. 11, 2012, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home in Etowah, with the Revs. Glenn Gamble and Ernest Condee officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, and proceed to Goodsprings Cemetery for the 11 a.m., committal service.

Terry Loveday, Hershell Casteel, Louis Bryan, Larry Choat, Andy Russell and James Cook will serve as pallbearers.
