Meghan Elizabeth McKenzie became the bride of Joe Evans, both of Nashville, in an evening ceremony on Aug. 20, 2011, at Patten Chapel in Chattanooga.

The bride is the daughter of Vickie and Lamar McKenzie of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George B. McKenzie and Mr. and Mrs. Wallie Woodard, all of Cleveland.

The bridegroom is the son of Elaine and Bill Sanders of Cleveland and the late Jerry Evans. He is the grandson of Nellie Mae Grosch of Knoxville, the late Carlton Evans, Ruth Richeson Casteel of Jackson and the late Joseph Casteel.

The wedding was officiated by Dr. Robert H. Darville III of Rome, Ga. Nuptial music was presented by Amabilé String Quartet of Chattanooga.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Bridesmaids were Mary Duff McNulty, Blythe Mayfield and Angela Sipley Coates, all of Cleveland, and Rachel Patrick and Brittney Penfield, both of Nashville.

Groomsmen were Michael McNulty of Nashville, Jeff Holden, Joey Gravelle and Jon Mantooth, all of Cleveland, and Whitney Mantooth of Chattanooga. Alex McKenzie and Logan McKenzie, brothers of the bride, served as ushers.

The reception was given by the bride’s parents at the Read House in Chattanooga.

After a wedding trip to The Atlantis in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Nashville.
