Evelyn “Jeannie” Mantooth, 75, a resident of Etowah and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Saturday in an Athens hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Bessie Mae Mantooth; and her sister, Wilma Mantooth. She was of the Church of God faith.

Survivors include her sisters: Toni Hewitt of Cleveland, Billie Conner of Forsyth, Mont., and Mary Louise Sprinkle of Adairsville, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. E. Roger Ammons officiating.

Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 11 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
