Everette L. Hunt

Everette L. Hunt, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at a Chattanooga health care facility.

He was a charter member of Tasso Baptist Church. He served in the U.S Army and was a veteran of World War II, in the South Pacific.

He was a well-known barber and owner of Hunt’s Trailer Park. He was a retired security guard at Magic Chef.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard F. and Annette Rogers Hunt; first wife, Ada Marie Hunt; second wife, Glenna Jewel Hunt; and brother, Floyd “Buck” Hunt.

He is survived by his children: Lee Hunt of Chattanooga, Penny Weathers of Cleveland and Anthony Howard Hunt and wife, Tonya, of Cleveland; stepson, Victor Paul of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Angela Marie Allen, Brian Matthew Hunt, Amanda Lee McDonald, Jennifer Victoria Hunt and Anthony T.D. Hunt; three great-grandchildren: Rachel Allen, Reagan Allen, and Rebecca Allen.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. today, April 29, 2012, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Cawood officiating.

Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with T.D. Hunt, Anthony Hunt, Troy Weathers, Micah McDonald, Herbert Beene, Ron Beene,Ricky Tallent and Lee Hunt serving as pallbearers.

Military honors and a white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.
