Two people are in stable condition after a two vehicle accident on Keith Street near Raider Drive this morning.

The father, age 36, and son, age 10, of Cleveland were in a U-Haul truck which impacted a smaller truck from behind, according to Stan Clark of Bradley County Emergency Medical Service.

The accident originated in the south bound lanes on Keith Street. The U-Hail truck crossed the north bound lanes and entered the parking lot of a BP station.

EMS responded to the accident after a 8:39 a.m. call. The driver and his son were then transported to SkyRidge Medical Center.

Clark said the vechicle almost hit a gas pump. However, the gas pump barrier prevented collision.

“The barrier did its job very well,” Clark said, commenting that the incident could have been a lot worse.

Clark said the driver of the smaller truck was not injured and neither the father or son had any life threatening injuries.

Exact cause of the accident was undetermined at presstime.

Cleveland Police and Fire departments also responded to the scene.
