Faye Banther, 60, loving wife, mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012.

She was a member of Honestville Baptist Church. She was employed with TVA at Watts Bar for the past 16 years.

She was the daughter of the late Ira Slaughter and Madeline Watkins Lane and was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Bettis and two brothers: Jimmy Slaughter and Dale Slaughter.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Price Banther of Cleveland; two children: Billy Banther and Jeanna Banther Thompson and husband, Chuck, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Brandon Banther, Madison Castello, Emily Grace Thompson, Abby Claire Thompson, Hollis Thompson and Henry Thompson; two sisters: Nellie Hood and husband, Bill, of Delano and Freda Frazier and husband, Dewayne, of Georgetown; two brothers: Marvin Slaughter and wife, Ethel, and Gary Slaughter and wife, Joann, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Evans and Pastor Greg Banther officiating.

Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
