TO RECOGNIZE those who died on Sept. 11, 2001, Judge Daniel Swafford and the staff of Bradley County Juvenile Center have two flags on display imprinted with the names of the men and women who lost their lives on that day. Evelyn Visage loaned two flags to the Juvenile Center for display. “The Flag of Heroes,” above, displays the names of emergency personnel who gave the ultimate sacrifice. “The Flag of Honor” displays the names of those lost in the Towers and the surrounding area. As indicated on each flag, these flags represent their immortality. “We shall never forget them.” Both flags will remain on display through next Sunday.
