The Lee men and women will open Southern States Athletic Conference play this weekend by hosting a pair of SSAC West Division clubs. It begins at 5:30 tonight when the Lady Flames (3-) challenge Auburn-Montgomery (3-1) at 5:30. Lee’s men (1-0) will be pitted against the AUM men (2-3) in the nightcap.

Saturday’s contests against Faulkner University have been pushed back one hour (4 and 6 p.m.) because of the earlier women’s soccer match. The Faulkner women are off to the same 4-0 start as the Lady Flames. The men’s club (5-0) is off to its best start in several years. It is always a battle when the Flames and Eagles tangle.

While the Lady Flames are coming off an impressive win over No. 14 Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday, the Flames went 1-1 in a pair of exhibition games in Newberry, N.C., this past weekend.
