Frances Ann Vest, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at a local health care facility.

She was a member of Unity United Methodist Church and later a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed with Lonas Construction Company, the Bradley County Schools system, and Central Service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Joseph Vest Sr.; sons: Joseph “Joby” Vest and Albert Joseph Vest Jr.; parents, Ernest H. Evans and Lillis Puett Evans; and son-in-law, Luke Desmond Gateley.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Vest Gateley of Cleveland; four grandsons: Scott Joseph Vest, Hunter William Vest, Evan Joseph Gateley and Joby Jaxson William Gateley, all of Cleveland; two sisters: Jerry Odom of Cleveland and Sandy Pullin of Knoxville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Erbin Baumgardner officiating.

Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Hunter Vest, Billy Vest, Steven Vest, Dennis Odom, Randy Odom and Greg Davenport serving as pallbearers. Evan Gateley, Jaxson Gateley and Scott Vest will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
