A report filed by deputy Marshall Hicks noted Isabell Westfield as the victim.
Westfield said someone broke into her home and took a 47-inch flat-screen television, a 19-inch flat-screen set, a small amount of cash, some medication and other items.
Investigators with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office believe the burglar entered the home through a window and left through a door at the rear of the home.
Evidence was collected from the scene by Criminal Investigations detective Daniel Jones.
Loss was estimated at approximately $500.
Investigation is continuing.
n Cleveland Police arrested a Powder Springs, Ga. man and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a weapon with intent to go armed.
A report filed by officer Mike Harris said he responded to a car crash call on Ocoee Street and found David P. Davenport, 39, being treated by Bradley County Emergency Medical Service.
Harris’ report alleged that Davenport smelled of alcohol.
A series of tests were attempted to see if Davenport had been driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to Harris, Davenport was taken into custody and also charged with DUI.
As a tow truck driver was preparing to tow the car Davenport had been driving, he found a loaded pistol under the driver’s seat.
Davenport didn’t have a valid handgun carry permit, according to Harris’ report.
Also, a pipe believed to be used to smoke marijuana was also found in the center console of the car as was a small blue pill suspected to be Xanax, noted Harris.
Harris logged the items into evidence for further testing. Davenport was taken to the Bradley County Jail where he was booked on the charges.
