Gail Barnett Aaron, 61, a resident of McDonald, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.
God’s sovereignly decided that the day of her earthly birthday would be the day of her heavenly birthday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl R. “Hank” Barnett and Lucy M. Barnes.
She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.
She graduated from Roanoke Rapids (N.C.) High School in 1969. She was a 15-year employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was an avid reader, loved NASCAR and supported No. 88, “Dale Jr.”
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, William Aaron; brother, Mel Barnett of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; she was the proud mother of her only child, Julie Kay Arrington, who along with her husband, Todd, resides in Canton, Ga.; her grandchildren: Trey Arrington and Madelyne Arrington, whom she dearly loved; by stepchildren: Lecia Guill, Dawn Dixon, and Shane and Marty Aaron of Cleveland, and Julie Davis of Cheyenne, Wyo.; 16 stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
The service will be held at 7 p.m Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
