Gail Barnett Aaron, 61, a resident of McDonald, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.
God sovereignly decided that the day of her earthly birthday would be the day of her heavenly birthday.
Survivors include her husband of 12 years, William Aaron; her brother, Mel Barnett of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl R. “Hank” Barnett, and Lucy M. Barnes, also of Roanoke Rapids.
She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church.
She was the proud mother of her only child, Julie Kay Arrington, who along with her husband Todd, reside in Canton, Ga.; grandchildren: Trey and Madelyne Arrington, whom she dearly loved; stepchildren: Lecia Guill, Dawn Dixon, and Shane and Marty Aaron, all of Cleveland, and Julie Davis of Cheyenne, Wyo.; her extended family includes 16 step-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild.
She graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 1969. She was a 15 year employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was an avid reader, loved NASCAR and supported No. 88, Dale Jr.
The family will receive friends between 5 and 7 p.m. today, Oct. 19, 2012, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the service to follow immediately at 7 p.m.
