Knights of Columbus Council No. 4572 member George Vallejo, on behalf of Grand Knight John Melvin and Council members, recently presented a donation to the Caring Place of Cleveland. Receiving the donation is Reba Terry, executive director. The Caring Place is an ecumenical Christian, nonprofit organization. Its mission is to model the love of Christ by addressing basic spiritual, physical, and social needs of people in Bradley County, regardless of ethnicity, age, gender or disability. The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Men's fraternal service organization, dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. They undertake several fundraising projects during the year, most notably the Barbecue Butt Roast events for the Super Bowl and Labor Day, and a yearly golf tournament.  All proceeds from these events are donated to charities in the  community, state and nation.
