The Greater Cleveland Community Band begins spring rehearsals Monday at 7 p.m.
Anyone who has ever played a musical instrument is invited to participate as this is a “community band.” Don’t worry that it “has been since high school” just dust off those instruments and come on and join the group.
The rehearsals are in preperation for the spring concert in April, which will be music from the Civil War since this is the 150th anniversary of that war. The narrative will include Cleveland and Bradley County’s part in this war.
Cleveland High School allows the band to use its band room for the rehearsals. The actual rehearsal begins at 7 p.m., but for the first night please arrive around 6:30 to get signed in, pick up your music and get tuned up.
Rehearsal is usually over at 8:30.
Entrance to the Cleveland band room is around on the back side of the high school where the band trailer is located.
