He was the son of the late James Glenn Collins and Josephine Wilson Collins. His brother, James Terry Collins, also preceded him in death.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching races, as well as working on and fixing up old cars.
He is survived by a son, Mark Anthony Collins and his wife, Sandra, of Hudson, Fla.; sister, Brenda Collins Holmes of Cleveland; grandchildren: Jessica Collins, Chris Kirschmann, Chaz Kirschmann, Mandi Jenkins, Nathan Patterson; great-grandchild, Bryson Kirschmann; and nephew, Tony Holmes.
A Remembrance of Life graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at McInturf Cemetery in Meigs County with Gary Mac officiating.
The family will receive friends today, 5 to 8 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral Homes, North Ocoee Chapel.
