Harold Clifton Ledford Jr., 51, of Old Fort, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, in a local hospital.
He was a deacon of Calvary Church of God in Greasy Creek. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was employed by CG Roxane Water Company in Benton.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Anita) Ledford of Old Fort; two daughters: Jennifer Ledford of Clarksville and Michelle Ledford of Cleveland; stepson, Daniel Wilcox; parents, Harold Sr. and Ruth Ledford; sister, Susan Speed; and brother, Douglas Ledford, all of Old Fort.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Randy Bragg officiating.
Interment will follow in Boanerges Baptist Church Cemetery with Shawn Ledford, Jerry Branham, Tim Rogers, Johnny Brown, Guillermo Perez, Robert Martin, Neil Jackson and Dillon Stiles serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Green and Jason Brown. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
