Harold Ralph Cook, 78, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at his residence.
He was the son of the late Johnny and Kathleen Duncan Cook.
He was a native of McMinn County and has lived the past 35 years in Bradley County. He was retired from Ryder Truck Rental and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marchie Geneva Cook; daughter, Cynthia Kay Cook; sons: Bobby Joe Coleman and Harold Dwight Cook; sister, Barbara Faye Brantley; and brothers: Ray, Eugene and Robert Cook
He is survived by sons: Kenneth Ray Coleman and wife, Sharon, and Perry Wayne Cook, all of Athens, Randall Cook and wife, Gabrielle, of Cleveland, Larry Cook of Athens and John Franklin Cook of Benton; sisters: Joann Dale of Rossville, Pauline Martin and husband, Jim, of Chattanooga and Anna Wicker and husband, Lynn, of Niota; brothers: Charles Cook and wife, Jean, of Chattanooga, Glenn Cook and wife, Reba, of Cleveland and Gary Cook and wife, Jana, of Cleveland; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends also survive.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 21, 2013, from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah with the Rev. Paul Bunch officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cottonport Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
