Shelly Marie Tipton of Evensville and Ryan Andrew Harris of Dayton exchanged wedding vows in an evening beach ceremony on Sept. 24, 2011, at Navarre Beach, Fla.

The bride is the daughter of Neil and Vicky Tipton of Spring City. She is the granddaughter of the late Dennis and Martha Tipton and the late Mervin and Maxine Stout. She is the sister of James Tipton of Spring City.

The bridegroom is the son of Ron and Gloria Harris of Dayton, formerly of Cleveland. He is the grandson of the late Whit and Robbie Harris and the late Duward and Sara Long. He is the brother of Amelia Harris of Chattanooga.

The wedding was officiated by the Rev. John Fields.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. Beth Webb of Orlando, Fla., was maid of honor. The bridegroom’s sister, Amelia, and Courtney Moffat of Texas City, Texas, were bridesmaids.

Best man to the bridegroom was James Wooten of Athens. Jace Cochran of Memphis, cousin of the bridegroom, and Steven Allen of Athens were groomsmen.

A reception by the bride’s parents was held at the pavilion of Navarre Beach Park.

After their wedding trip to Navarre Beach, the couple will reside in Evensville.

Mrs. Harris is a graduate of Rhea County High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is studying for a master’s degree in the Aspire Program of Bryan College. She is employed by the state of Tennessee in Dayton.

Mr. Harris is a graduate of Bradley Central High School and attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College. He is a student in the Aspire Program of Bryan College and is employed by Money Concepts in Dayton.
