Ashlee Diane Cardwell became the bride of Joshua Douglas Hawkins, both of Knoxville, in an evening ceremony on March 15, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Knoxville.

The bride is the daughter of Ken and Crystal Cardwell of Knoxville. She is the granddaughter of Gaines and Edwina Lewis of Knoxville, David Cardwell, also of Knoxville, and the late Lila Cardwell.

The bridegroom is the son of Willa Hawkins of Cleveland and the late John D. Hawkins. He is the grandson of Harold and Wilmetta Copus of Findlay, Ohio, and Johnnie Ruth Crump of Cleveland.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Don Wilson, pastor at Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Nuptial music was provided by Simon Hogg.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Lacy Hudson of Knoxville, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Covington of Knoxville and Jamie Tipton and Stephanie Roy, both of Chattanooga.

The bridegroom’s brother, John David Hawkins of Cleveland, served him as best man. Groomsmen were Stephen Millsaps and Paul Brady, both of Knoxville, and Sang Han of Seoul, South Korea.

The reception was given by the parents of the bride at Southern Depot in Knoxville.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is at home in Knoxville.
