Hawks avenge loss to BCA

Belvoir Christian Academy, proclaimed the best team in the Independent School League (ISC), recently defeated Tennessee Christian Preparatory School in a close, heated battle. The TCPS Hawks traveled to the Lions’ den Monday night to even the score, beating the Belvoir fivesome, 35-21.

Ardarryl Clay was the leading scorer for the Hawks with 18 points. Andy Chase kept the Hawks’ defense alive with eight rebounds. The Lions’ top scorer was C.J. Masengill with 14 points.

This big victory was the Hawks’ final conference game. Tournament play will begin next Tuesday at St. Jude.

Tennessee Christian finished the regular season with a 9-4 record, 7-3 in conference play.

Other contributors in Monday’s game against Belvoir included Praise Taylor, Colton Duncan, Trevor Rathbun, Cade Baker, Johnathon Trew, Mullek Bradford and Drew Smith.
