She was a member of Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She was director of nursing at Bradley Memorial Hospital for many years. She was also a member of Magnolia Garden Club for many years. She was also a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society. She was active in the Republican Women’s Party.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe C. Mizelle Jr.; daughter, Dianne Mizelle; her parents, Linwood and Susie Lundy; one sister; and three brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne McClellan and husband, George, of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Jonathan McClellan and wife, Helen, Michael McClellan and wife, Kerri, David McClellan and wife, Shannon, Benjamin McClellan and fiancée, Trisha Whitener, and Candace McClellan Waterhouse and husband, David; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Larry Owens officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Benjamin McClellan, David McClellan, Jonathan McClellan, Michael McClellan, Brandon Goldston and David Waterhouse serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Kuhlman, Gene Veazey and Craig Parrish.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
