Casey Mae Simpson and Wayne Henry, both of Cleveland, exchanged wedding vows in an afternoon ceremony on Sept. 18, 2010, at United Christian Church.

The bride is the mother of Dathen Malachi Simpson. She is the daughter of Douglas and Kathy Simpson of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of the late Rev. Yules Simpson, the late Mary Simpson, James Baldwin of Cleveland and the late Nannie Baldwin.

The bridegroom is the son of Linda Henry of Cleveland and the late Obie Henry. He is the grandson of Hubert and Tilda Ashley of Cleveland.

The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. James Kent of Everlasting Gospel International Ministries. Nuptial music was presented by the bride.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Kristy Wright of Cleveland as matron of honor. Her niece Alexis Wright of Cleveland was a bridesmaid. Savannah Betancourt of Cleveland was flower girl and the bride’s nephew Austin Wright was ring bearer.

Larry Beck of Cleveland served the bridegroom as best man. Groomsmen were Allen Walsh of Charleston and the bride’s son, Malachi. Zac Wright served as usher.

The reception was given by Laura Beck in the church fellowship hall, along with Tammy Pavilo, Courtney Betancourt and Amy Simonds, who kept the bride’s book also. Dolly Hilton, Don Warren and Emily Bryant assisted.
